Welcome to the California Tint Academy blog! I'm Roberta Rodriguez, and I started my own window tinting shop back in 2002. Over the years, I've gained valuable experience and expertise in the industry. One thing I've learned is that success in this trade isn't limited by gender - both women and men can excel equally. With that in mind, I've decided to pay it forward to the next generation of window tint installers by opening the California Tint Academy. In this post, I'll introduce you to our academy and the comprehensive training we offer.

The California Tint Academy is designed to be a welcoming space where both women and men can feel comfortable learning and perfecting their window tinting skills. Our goal is to provide an inclusive, supportive environment that fosters the growth of our trainees, setting them up for a successful career in the window tinting industry.

At the California Tint Academy, we offer both in-house and digital training to help aspiring tint installers achieve their career goals. Our curriculum is designed to cover all aspects of the trade, including prepping, film shrinking techniques, tool usage, installation, commercial flat glass, and film application. Our focus is on giving trainees the personal attention they need to master the skills necessary for providing top-notch, hassle-free installations.

What Our Training Includes:

1. Tools: Trainees receive a heat gun, a tool belt filled with essential tools, and window tint to take home and practice with.

2. Basic Tint Handling Fundamentals: We start with the basics and build from there.

3. Computer Cut Patterns and Hand Cutting: Learn how to use both technology and traditional techniques for cutting patterns.

4. Window Tint Heat Shrinking: Master the art of heat shrinking for a seamless finish.

5. State of the Art Training Environment: Our facility is equipped with everything you need to succeed.

6. Lunch: We provide lunch daily so you can focus on learning.

7. Schedule: Our classes run Monday through Thursday, from 9 am to 5:30 pm.

8. Exam and Certification Day: On Thursday, we administer exams and provide certification for successful trainees.
